Houthis hit Norwegian oil tanker

The Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen fired a cruise missile at a Norwegian-owned oil tanker in the Red Sea, causing a fire on board.

No crew members were injured.

The ship, operated by an Indian crew, was transporting vegetable oil and biofuels from Malaysia to Italy and had no links to Israel.

The Iran-backed Houthi rebels warned they will continue to strike vessels linked to Israel traveling along crucial shipping routes in response to the country’s war against Hamas in Gaza.
